Overview

Michael G. Oddo was born in Chicago, Illinois. Mike represents a variety of businesses, business people, and individuals to protect their interests, whether that requires suing or defending in court. He has years of experience in matters related to innumerable types of contracts, real estate, homeowners association, employment, insurance defense, construction, debt collection, probate and estate conflicts. His experience includes trials and appeals in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and mediation. Mike has defended clients in statewide, multi-claimant product liability cases. As an advisor to clients, Mike presents seminars and training on relevant legal topics of current interest. Mike holds an AV Preeminent rating with Martindale-Hubbell and has for many years.

Representative Experience

  • Represented clients in jury and bench trials in Dallas, Tarrant, Denton, Collin, and Ellis Counties
  • Resolved hundreds of claims via arbitration involving defective construction of condominium units
  • Represented numerous physician groups in contract, equipment and office lease, and employment matters
  • Represented commercial property owners in lease enforcement matters
  • Obtained reversal on appeal of a judgment against a client arising from conduct committed by the client's corporate predecessor
  • Successfully defended on appeal a judgment dismissing claims against a client in a case where plaintiffs attempted to avoid contract defenses by asserting negligence
  • Defended against and obtained injunctive relief sought to enforce employment covenants
  • Obtained injunctive relief enforcing restrictive covenants in property owners associations
